John Brickey, Project Administrator
Director of Community Development, City of Longview
John began his career with the City of Longview in 1990 where he served as the City's electrical inspector. He was appointed to Building Official in 1997, to interim director of Community Development in 2001, and as assistant director of Community Development in 2002. In 2005 he was appointed as the Community Development director. He was appointed to the Washington State Electrical Board in 2012.
Retha Porter, ART Committee Chair
Retha works in the field of communications and marketing and actively serves with many local community groups. Retha has a degree in art with a concentration in graphic design. She studied art history in Western Europe and has traveled extensively with the express interest of viewing great works of art and architecture in other cultures. She has great passion for developing the arts in her local community to enhance quality of life and cultural enrichment for all.
Gerrie Booth, CPA, LPSG Treasurer, ART Committee Board Liaison
Gerrie is a primary partner in the accounting firm Booth Davis & Associates, PLLC. She has 40 plus years in the accounting profession. Gerrie is extremely active in her local community serving on many community boards. She also participates in numerous community health and civic committees and projects. Gerrie’s dedication to the community has earned her many honors and is a reflection of her belief in giving back to the community.
Paul Roesch, Jr., Attorney, ART Committee member
Paul is an Attorney at Law in private practice with more than 40 years of experience. He has worked with many nonprofit organizations, helping with legal designations and providing counsel on such things as organizational status and contract review. Paul is active in many civic and community groups including those that support the arts and culture of the community.
Dee O’Neill, ART Committee member
Dee currently provides business development and contracts management support for ALS Limited, a global environmental service company. She is very active in the local community, having served in various official positions with several service organizations. Dee has been active in community programs, such as the I Have a Dream Program of Cowlitz County. She was one of the founding members of the Emergency Support Shelter, actively raising funds for the shelter’s capital and operational campaigns.
Gitta Makinster, ART Committee member
Gitta is very active in the community, serving on various committees, one being Project Longview. She has chaired many community fundraisers and events for various groups including St. Johns Women’s Clinic and the Junior Service League. Gitta was instrumental in the formation of the Longview Outdoor Gallery and served as a board member of the Longview Downtown Partnership for more than five years.
Wendy Kosloski, ART Committee member
Raised in in the State of Washington, Wendy studied art at Collegio Victoria, Mexico City- Cuesta College, San Luis Obispo, CA and the University of WA. An independent business owner since the age of 15, her bricks and mortar store Teague’s Interiors in downtown Longview is in its third location after being founded in 1988, offers interior design services from color palettes (interior and exterior), redesign and reupholster of furniture, room arrangements and drapery design. Teague's also has independent art gallery that features area artists in various mediums. Wendy also has worked in various mediums of art: figure drawing, intaglio, acrylic, and hand dyed textiles. Teague’s continues to advocate for art and beauty by encouraging and supporting the Longview Outdoor Gallery, and the ART project.
